The fastest way to judge a supplement is to read its label, and Vigueur Active has a clear one. Nine active ingredients, eight of them with printed amounts, and only four excipients. This article explains each ingredient in everyday language, so you can decide whether the formula fits your goals. For the full technical breakdown, see the Vigueur Active ingredient guide.
How the Vigueur Active label is organised
The nutrition panel has two parts. At the top are the vitamin and mineral, each with a percentage of the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV, or VNR in French). Below them is a 470 mg "ingredient blend" with individual amounts listed for six botanicals and amino acids. Mucuna pruriens appears in the full ingredient list but without an amount. That is the only gap on an otherwise transparent label.
The two nutrients with official claims
Zinc, 11 mg (110% NRV)
Zinc is a trace mineral your body cannot make. It is needed by hundreds of enzymes, including some involved in hormone production. Under EU rules zinc can be labelled as contributing to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, to normal fertility and reproduction, and to normal immune and cognitive function. The dose here is a full daily amount, which makes it the anchor of the formula.
Vitamin B3 as niacin, 20 mg (125% NRV)
Niacin is used to build NAD, a coenzyme that cells need to release energy from food. Its recognised claims include reducing tiredness and fatigue and supporting normal energy metabolism and psychological function. At 20 mg it is above the reference intake but well under the level associated with the familiar niacin flush.
The two amino acids
L-citrulline, 150 mg
Citrulline was first found in watermelon. In the body it is converted to L-arginine, the raw material for nitric oxide, which is why citrulline appears in so many performance and men's health products. It is generally absorbed better than arginine itself.
L-carnitine, 150 mg
Carnitine carries fatty acids into the mitochondria to be burned as fuel. It is concentrated in muscle and is a common ingredient in endurance and stamina formulas. Pairing it with citrulline at the same dose is a sensible way to cover the "physical performance" side of the label.
The botanicals
Pine bark extract (Pinus pinaster), 100 mg
The maritime pine grows along the French Atlantic coast, and its bark is rich in procyanidins, a class of polyphenol. Pine bark extract is one of Europe's best-known botanical ingredients and is often combined with citrulline or arginine.
Maca root extract (Lepidium meyenii), 50 mg
Maca is a root vegetable from the high Andes, eaten as food and used as a traditional tonic. It is one of the three ingredients named on the front of the Vigueur Active bottle and gives the formula its recognisable men's vitality identity.
Grape skin extract (Vitis vinifera), 15 mg
Red grape skins are a concentrated source of polyphenols such as resveratrol. The small dose here broadens the antioxidant profile alongside pine bark.
Saffron stigma extract (Crocus sativus), 5 mg
Saffron is potent, so 5 mg is a deliberate amount. It has thousands of years of traditional use and is a common ingredient in modern well-being formulas.
Mucuna pruriens extract, amount not stated
The velvet bean is a legume used in Ayurvedic tradition and a natural source of L-DOPA. It sits on the drive-and-well-being side of the formula next to maca.

What is not in Vigueur Active
There is no caffeine or other stimulant, no gelatin (the capsule is hypromellose), no sugar, no colourings and no artificial flavours. The only other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose and two anti-caking agents. That keeps the product suitable for vegetarians and for men who want to avoid stimulants.
How the pieces fit
A simple way to see the formula: zinc and maca for normal testosterone maintenance and drive, niacin and carnitine for energy, citrulline and pine bark for stamina and normal performance, and saffron, grape skin and Mucuna for general well-being. Each pair matches one of the benefits described on the product page, and how Vigueur Active works explains the pathways in more detail.
Reading the label before you buy
Check three things on the bottle you receive: the serving size (one capsule a day), the zinc and niacin percentages, and the allergen note that directs you to ingredients printed in bold. If you already take a multivitamin, compare its zinc content with the 11 mg here so you are not doubling up. When you are ready, the official product page lists current package prices, and our review and reviews article cover what daily use is actually like. You can also return to the home page for the full overview.
